There is one new alert
and two old alerts at this time.
On May 15, 2017, Battery Ventures acquired the Real-Time business segment of Concurrent Computer Corporation.
The transaction created a new, independent operating business named Concurrent Real-Time.
Except for some web-site links and an upcoming domain name change, we expect there will be no changes
to Real-Time business operations and no effect on our existing customer base.
We will remain dedicated to continued product innovation, and our customers will continue to
receive the same high quality support and professional service.
On December 31, 2016 there a leap second was added at midnight to the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). In the past when a leap second was added some versions of Linux had issues with NTP not adjusting the system time accordingly. With that in mind, no matter what version of RedHawk that you are running it is recommended that you update the ntp, ntpdate and tzdata rpms either through RHEL or CentOS repositories. See below for customers using the ccur-ntp rpm.
For customers running RedHawk 5.4 you are strongly advised to download and install the latest 5.4.20 update as this contains a kernel fix that was uncovered after the last leap second was added. Those customers that have an RCIM with a GPS to control the time on their system are using the ccur-ntp rpm. If you do have this configuration it is advised to update to the latest kernel update for your version of RedHawk. There is no update needed for the ccur-ntp rpm.
Further details about NTP and leap seconds can be found at this link:
